How do I get started?

如何开始使用？

Open the app and sign in with Google or Apple. AI is built in — there's nothing to configure. Then create a trip and start adding bills, either by photographing receipts or entering them manually.

How does AI bill recognition work?

AI 账单识别如何工作？

Take a photo of a receipt or select one from your library. The app sends it through our backend to Google Gemini, which extracts the merchant name, amount, date, category, and line items. You can review and edit the results before saving.

Minds generates a sketch-style infographic timeline from your journal's bill data using AI image generation. It creates a visual summary of your trip spending.

Where is my data stored?

数据存储在哪里？

Your trips, bills, and receipt photos are stored on BillOwl's backend service, hosted in the United States, so they sync across your devices. All data is encrypted in transit. You can delete your account anytime in Settings > Delete Account, which permanently removes your data from our servers. See our Privacy Policy for details.

BillOwl supports multiple currencies including CNY, USD, EUR, JPY, GBP, KRW, THB, and more. Each journal can have its own base currency.
